Blocking Feature

I was scrolling the main timeline and wanted to skip an individual user. I blocked him to mute his tastings but this blocking send out a report as well. There is a report Button so I believe they are two distinct functions, but they are not. I’d appreciate if there were a mute button which allows me to sort out the main timeline without reporting users I don’t want to read.

I realized two additional aspects.

  1. I cannot unblock users. If I try to open the profile of a blocked user, I run into an error.
  2. Timeline is much slower, as the blocked users are filtered out on runtime I guess

I managed to block the user in question by tapping on their name and then in the upper right corner I had the option to block.

I’m in the same boat. I love discovering new people with useful reviews, but hate scrolling through endless waves of ‘just ratings’. Or even worse: the one-word reviews à la “pear” or “chocolate” that then in turn get pushed to the browser version.
