Thank you :slightly_smiling_face:

Too bad that the Siglo IV now retails for 52€ to 60€ a cigar in Europe, the new prices really killed the hobby for me. Luckily I have amassed a decent collection and should have enough cigars for the coming 15 years

lucky you! I have been struggling to get decent Cubans at all lately :unamused: As in my opinion nothing compares to Cubans, it is hard to shift. My alternatives now include Nicarao, Nub, RVGN, Macanudo, Blanco (Nine), Principle Aviator…I keep ny few remaining Cubans (Reservas, Limitadas) for special occasions…

I only smoke Cubans as well. When I started out I tried a few NC’s but quickly found my way into Cubans. I too hold on to my special cigars including some rare regionals and vintage stuff and only smoke some on special occasions and my go to cigars are regular production, regionals and limitadas that I have a lot of and custom rolls. And it is kinda difficult to light a special cigar or crack a special box when you see the prices that some cigars go for nowadays in auctions and on the secondary market. Things have really been crazy in the last couple of years. Sourcing some regionals has become almost impossible and the hobby is driven by greed. All this made me step back from the hobby and I only buy the stuff that I can’t live without now (if I manage to source them).

I fully share your point of view! I recall maybe ten years back, when I smoked the Behike 52 (if I recall correctly for 33 EUR at the time) without too much worries. Nowadays, impossible to do so…unless having won the lottery :joy:

Finally getting around to open my bottle of Swell Private Garden. Enjoying a La Gloria Cubana Médaille d’Or No.2 from 2014 with it, a cigar that was sadly discontinued the same year and one of my favorite smokes.

I remember well those La Gloria Cubans 8-9-8 in varnished boxes, what a perfume just when you opened the box.

The number one was the longest, the two was the biggest, the three the thinner and the four the smallest.

I hope you enjoyed your smoke.

Yes, I like the four of them even thought the No.3 is often plugged due to the small ring gauge. Boxes of all 4 are quite beautiful as I’m a huge fan of the 8-9-8 packaging.

I still have some of all 4 left but not that many of the 1 and 3.

I did, thank you. I really love the 2, the Lonsdale is one my my favorite vitolas.
