To all of you in Flensburg who are decorating your yards and houses with lights for Christmas:
I would ask you to, if possible, avoid the red and blue colors flashing together. Every time I drive through my beloved small towns (after six o’clock in the evening), I get the feeling that it’s the police, and I have a panic attack. I have to brake, pour my whiskey out the window, fasten my seatbelt, throw my phone away, turn down the music, hide the beer cans, and slowly push my kitchen knives all the way under the seat – and all this while I’m driving!
It’s too much at once, even here in the lead up to Christmas.
At least until I get my driver’s license back.
