Thailand:
Vietnam:
I knew some of the ones you speak about.
What about Phraya old millesimes?
Never had any phraya but not expecting a lot since there aren’t many releases and all are very dilluted…
Reliable is the killer criteria for me here.
as @crazyforgoodbooze already laid out, Thailand has some reliably good offerings. Shakara really the king on drinking strength for me, Naga Full Proof a steal for how good it is.
Availably, Vietnam really only has sampan, which i would rate below the average of decent rums and the LMDW Flags series which was enjoyable but not really reliable in any sense of the word…
Probably give a try to Shakara one next time…
Do! it is excellent!
As a frequent Thailand traveller I’m wondering if Shakara is for export only, I’ve never seen it in Thailand itself. You only get awful stuff of Sangsom or Hong Thong ![]()
Well it is a Luca gargano project for western markets, I do not wonder that it’s not on Thailand
Is the 15 yo worth the premium?
You’d recommend the Saga Full Proof or the Shakara?
Really two different animals, i think the shakara 15 is am excellent sipper and would pay the extra happily. The Naga is in your face, full proof. Definitely does somethins different. I would buy what I can more regularly empty
But I need to buy another shakara 15, I can send you samples
WĂĽrde mich fĂĽr iwann in der Zukunft mit 2cl von Shakara 15 anmelden ![]()
Shakira 15yo added to whishlist.
Thanks for the advice, dear.
Recntly gave a try to Black Tot Master Blender’s Réserve 2023, and really enjoyed the deep chocolate taste.
Will compare with Shakara 15… …
Greetings.
Zum Thema Vietnam noch was spannendes gefunden:
RX ID hab ich eben angelegt, hab heute ein sample vom lieben @Rbfsnow bekommen
nach dem dry January dann!
Seems pretty close to some whisky flavours.
Had not a great expérience with a Mezan Jamaica 2011. It tasted exactly like single malt whisky, with a light hint of Banana.
