Is anybody planning to do some sightseeing on Saturday before the show?
Bin Samstag bis Montag am Start
Ich glaube ja @Oliver spoilert hier heimlich die nächste RumX Abfüllung und keiner hat’s gemerkt
Everybody hope you’re right. A TH1 from the same level as the LMDW one would be a crazy thing
Somebody sent me the new catalogue of LMDW.
See you soon in Paris !
Beim ersten durchsehen war das die für mich größte Neuigkeit. Wenn auch wenig überraschend.
Ansonsten bin ich gespannt auf eure (Tasting) Eindrücke in Paris. Viel Vergnügen!
Thanks for sharing
Yes, it’s surprising, but the guy was working alone and he got tired.
You have to come next year to Paris, WL is the best rum fair.
All new releases from the catalog are now included in the app. You can easily access them via the following in-app link: https://link.rum-x.com/AFsK
53 rums are already featured. The anticipation of tasting many of them in Paris this weekend is already huge.
The Hampden 1753 feels like the spiritual follow up of the LROK 2010 (RX9152). ‘Same’ label, same lower alcohol content. Interesting that they choose this approach.
Quite some Hampden in any case. Good news for me but it does all feel a bit collectioneer driven so I hope the prices do not reflect that.
Here are my impressions :
-
Hampden = cow from whom the milk is being taken continuously
-
Caroni : cool but will be like hell to taste (I don’t even mention the price…)
-
Habitation Velier : a joke
-
Flag Series, Cuban Rum : why not
-
Nine Leaves : LMDW new gem for speculation and collection
I’m surprised there isn’t any National Rums of Jamaica release this time though…
That’s what i thought as well. Or at least a Hampden with substantial tropical ageing.
I think the time of the old Hampden 2010 and Long Pond TECA 2005 is long gone unfortunately… now you have a less than 5 year old sherry-peated-bourbon-virgin oak rum… for 150 euros
I actually wonder why they haven’t bottled a Worthy Park, a Long Pond or even a New Yarmouth as they have never done it so far
Joking aside: for this reason WLP is perfect. Try before you buy. Or better: try to see if you want to buy!
This year, catalog looks very boring.
Rums - probably only Papalin will be reasonable option.
Yaks - ehhh, maybe Mauxion TTG (after discounts), Tercinier 58 (after even bigger discounts) and Bellair 1974. Not too much.
Whisky - probably Benromachs Artist series, but again too expensive to think about buying it.
Waiting for WLP reports and then Black Friday.
It’s still quite similar to Last years reactions to The catalogue as i remember. No FoMo, boring or less cheap or fair priced good old stuff. So are the Times it seems.
We are lucky that there are (M) alternatives enough besides that. And i am still excited to read the Reviews and impressions of all attendants this Weekend.
Still one or another dram will find a way in my glass.
Exactly my opinion. But my wallet sighs in relief, so…
Bis der nächste Hampden kommt für 199,99€ versteht sich
