Der erste Ester-Kick in der Nase wird nach einiger Zeit im Glas etwas gebändigt.
Vanille, kandierte Ananas, Banane, Honig und etwas Klebstoff.
Der Alkohol ist kaum präsent.
Am Gaumen dann hingegen schon, ein unerwartet starker Antritt, kurz scharf, dann Vanille und sehr viel exotisches Obst. Vanille, Holz, etwas Marzipan und Limette mit sehr viel Ester.
Der Abgang ist mittellang und sehr stimmig, Neues kommt nicht hinzu und der Hampden klingt langsam aus.
Vielleicht sowas wie RX17125?
Böses Brett heute. Jamaika, high Ester, kurze Reifezeit (<3 Jahre), ich würde den ABV noch höher ansetzen, >75% oder so. Kann mich nicht komplett zwischen Long Pond und Hampden entscheiden, daher heute zwei Tipps: RX13155 oder RX16511.
Nose: Good news! We seem to be back in higher ester territory. This smelled briefly like cheese straight out of the sample bottle. After which it starts to mellow out to (candy) banana and some apple juice. There is sugared soft pastry with custard cream. It reaches some fresher notes without hitting the sour side. After some minutes that sour side is there but a bit of whirling brings back that sugary pastry side. I would swear we have another Hampden on our hands. A bit lower ester than before (but hey Hampden so still pungent) or a very old distillate since it is quite civilized on the nose.
Taste: Did I say civilized? It opens n quite hot for me, then the tropical fruits and the pastry arrive, followed by some fainter licorice and green banana.
Finish: More of the above.
Conclusion: Great nose! After that it is a bit less. Nonetheless 8/10. This could be a younger Hampden, judging by the color and the slight burn it delivers. It does stay civilized though so we might end up with a older distillate whereby the alcohol was not integrated as well. Not sure what it is but RX13407 comes close to what I taste.
Ich bin hier deutlich auch bei Hampden mit hohem Estermark. Viel Gebäck. Würd auf einen Dok tippen. Ist es RX13408?
Etwa 60% würde auch passen.
Mein sample ist da leider nicht mehr vorhanden 
Spannendes Sample, welches zumindest mir Freude bereitet. Würde den ABV zwischen 70-75% ansiedeln
Jamaica 
Würde persönlich eher zu LP tendieren als zu HD. Allerdings keine 100% Sicherheit (glaube nach gestern ist alles noch etwas “überlastet” 
)
Anfangs wirklich sehr süß, wie Bubble Gum, auf der Zunge, dezente, angenehme Noten von Holz, Bananen, Vanille. Der Abgang könnte in der Tat länger sein. Gut integrierter Alkohol, genug Ester, damit es kracht.
Ich möchte mehr davon bitte .
This is one is quite strong or I’m just delicate today. also besides the estery Jamaican qualities I also get some slight pure cane juice character, which is interesting.
Leckeres Teil. Sehr hoher ABV, aber sehr gut eingebunden. Bin kein Fan von High Ester Rums aber hier ist der Esteranteil wirklich perfekt. Hätte auch auf einen jungen Rum aus Jamaica getippt
Leider hat mich die Erkältung volle Breitseite erwischt und ich schmecke nur Alkohol und einige Ester 
Leider absolut kein Plan was das ist
Kann mich auch nicht zwischen HD und LP entscheiden, aber ich glaube nicht, dass das RX13155 ist, dafür ist der dann doch nicht kräftig genug.
Nase: Anis, Gewürze, Alkoholisch, Lösungsmittel, Karamell
Geschmack: Gewürze, Karamell, Holz, Kräuter, Ester

Da sind wir heute ja alle schön reingefallen. 
Aber super Rum, finde ich. Und ich glaube, ich kenne sogar jemanden, von dem ich davon noch etwas abstauben kann. 
I don’t want to hurt my arm patting myself on the back, but does it mean I was right in detecting the pure cane juice besides the Jamaican esters?
Worthy Park habe ich hier gar nicht kommen sehen. Und dann Guadeloupe dazu?
Schönes Ding, damals haben mich aber die 1,5L abgeschreckt.
Worthy Park came into my mind briefly but I discarded the idea immediately because it was so much more Hampdenesque. And what a happy marriage this is between WP and Guadeloupe. Awesome blend! Next time we need more than 4 bottles 
Back to Jamaica I’d say.
Esters, banana, glue, wood. Very fruity.
In mouth : honey. Hot. Esters. Banana. Vanilla. Pepper. High ABV (>60). Don’t think it’s an Hampden. Or it could be a LROK. Nose could point out towards a Long Pond to me.
Von der Nase her bin ich bei einem Low-Ester Jamaikaner. Am Gaumen könnte es für mich dann beim ersten Eindruck auch ein gereifter Agricole sein, ich bleibe aber bei Jamaika und lege mich fest auf Hampden OWH und um die 55% ABV.
