I’m in with a 5cl set.
Too bad we don’t know the grape variety for the second bottle…
I am curious to taste this blend of 70% baco and 30% ugni blanc. In general, I prefer 100% ugni blanc (like in cognac)
I wonder what cépage (grape variety) is in the aurian voyage extraordinaire (I love the label, by the way).
I recently tasted some different armagnacs. The winner was clearly a 1992 from Domaine Lassalle (bottled by l’encantada) which was very very good. A lot of similarities with old French rums. They only work with ugni blanc and it seems it fits more my personnal taste than those made with baco too.
I’m hesitating to take them either the 91 or the 90 version.
(if some of you want to try, tell me, i’ll probably be weak and take the 2 in order to make a small split )
@Rodolphe Ye, like the label of the 2001 aswell. And some more info would be welcome for sure. I think I read something about Maison Aurian not disclosing the varities of more recent vintages.
Nontheless this 2001 is a really really good Armagnac imo.
Sounds interesting. Count me in! More samples are always welcome! (Wife disagrees though).
Wollte die Samples eigentlich dieses Wochenende rausschicken, aber hab es leider aus diversen Gründen nicht geschafft. Und nu bin ich die Woche unterwegs. D.h. ich werde es erst nächstes Wochenende schaffen. Sorry.
