Velier Isautier 15 y/o 88 Pts.
Velier Elliot Erwitt Foursquare 88 Pts.
Saint James Les Ephemeres Nr.1 86 Pts.
No particular Order. Also I have not tasted a lot of the released Hype Bottles, since im not willing to spend crazy amount of money on those bottles (Velier Hampden Single Casks or many of the recently released continental '98 Caronis for example).
Best value for money and biggest surprise

1.) CDI New Yarmouth 2009 (Bottled for Perola) 60,2% RX13284 => my personal rating 88
2.) RomDeluxe HGML 86% RX13155 => my personal rating 90
3.) Plantation SDR LP 1999 76% RX12818 => my personal rating 87 and best price-performance ratio in 2022
4.) Nobilis HD 2013 68,2% RX12016 => my personal rating 90
Biggest disappointment:
Rum Artesanal Hampden 1993 63,5% RX12421 => my personal rating 88 given the rating it´s hard to believe it´s a disappointment but given the other 1993 HD releases in the past it clearly was for me considering a price of 280€ for 0,5 liters.

Hier sind meine TOP-Abfülungen aus 2022 (ohne spezifische Reihenfolge). Unabhängig von meiner Wertung sind mir die ersten drei in der Liste besonders wichtig. Der RDL Wild Series 32 HGML wegen seiner brachialen Itensität und unverschämten Zugänglichkeit trotz 86% Alkohol. Die anderen beiden als Beispiele für meine Horizonterweiterung bzgl. des Facettenreichtums und der Geschmacksvielfalt aus einer Brennerei.

As I am pretty new in rum (1,5 year around), 2022 was my first year where I tried to taste then get the bottle (or the opposite) and I haven’t tasted all I wanted. But from there, here is my best of 2022 :
Great Thread! These are the ones I remember the most so far, but I‘ve just managed to try about half of the advent calendar yet. So I might have to add some later.
Despite being new to the world of Rum( hence my short list) I’ve tried a lot of different Rum in the last months and some were just incredibly good in my humble opinion:
RDL Wild Series 32 HGML ( also my biggest rookie mistake this year. I did not buy a bottle because at the time 200€ per bottle was just absurdly much. Well not anymore .If by chance anyone would like to sell their bottle… )
Ich liebe Rankings, mein Problem ist, dass ich sooo viele Rums von 2022 noch gar nicht verkostet habe, da das Angebot zu Hause einfach zu groß ist und die Zeit zu knapp. Ich probiere es trotzdem mal:
RA KFM 1991 - Ein Traum von einem Guyana Rum. Die Minznote…
Nobilis TDL 2001 - Einer der besten TDLs die ich bisher verkosten konnte
RA Bellevue SFGB 1998 - Liebe die intensive Zitrus Nase
Saint James Les Ephemeres No. 1 - sehr toller alter Agricole. Fasseinfluss auf den Punkt
The Duchess La Reunion 2003 - was ein Brett. Auch hier perfekt aus dem Fass geholt.
TRC Hampden DOK 2009 - Was soll man dazu noch sagen. A Legend.
Artesano 24y Priorat Cask - mehr Panama geht nicht. Einfach unfassbar smooth.
Freue mich unter anderem noch auf den RC Navy Rum. Werde ich mir Heilig Abend gönnen.
Mein Highlight 2022 war auf jeden Fall einen Velier Caroni (The Last) probiert zu haben. Und auch den RA REV 94. Sample Preise waren so krass fair. Love u all
Das verkosten geht weiter. Der Sample Stau groß. Probleme die ich ausnahmsweise mal gerne habe.
2023 freue uch mich auf die Pot Still Rums aus Panama von Herrn Lauinger. Glaube das ist was komplett neues. Werde bei einem Release auf jeden Fall eine Teilung machen
Danke für Eure Eindrücke - und ja, wir werden im Januar selbstverständlich wieder mit unserem Jahresrückblick aufwarten. Mal sehen, was sich dort alles wiederfindet, was auch hier genannt wird.
Wir werden erneut rein auf Quantität - sprich Auswertungen aus der gesamten Community - gehen, deshalb ist die Diskussion hier eine sehr willkommene Ergänzung zu unserem Format!
Zurück zum Kernthema - mir fehlen wie einigen anderen noch ein paar Rums aus diesem Jahr, die aber als Sample auf mich warten. Daher ergänze ich meine (rein subjektive) Liste in den kommenden Tagen noch.
Das sind meine Top 10, es ist nicht ganz streng nach Punkten, eher die, die am meisten Eindruck gemacht haben, es fehlt auch noch der Rumclub Ed 31 HQNB, auf den ich schon sehr gespannt bin!

und dann noch der 2018 Renaissance White Alligator (abgefüllt 2021, aber mW erst 2022 in den Verkauf gegangen), unglaublich was man aus nur 3 Jahren Fassreife rausholen kann, wenn man alle Parameter auf ‚Maximum‘ stellt.
Meine persönlichen Top 5 dieses Jahr…wibei ich nicht 100% sicher bin ob der Isautier dieses oder letztes Jahr releast wurde…zumindest in DE gab es den erst dieses Jahr.

Very similar to bottles already on the list are CDI TDL for 1802 and Tara LPS 2001
FRC does best in selecting old, colored Demeraras. Lovely! The KFM was very good, but the MEC from 2020 was even better. While I really enjoyed the KFMs, I still don’t love the REVs, I don’t know why.
While I’m not too keen on continentally-aged Jamaicans anymore, I love the 2001 LPS batch. Easy sipping mid-ester Jamaicans with the perfect level of complexity and drinkability.
For me Long Pond > Hampden (go and roast me). For my taste, I don’t need a higher ester level than STC*E
Chairmans, TDL or Ten Cane 2008. They’re all quite dark and rather dirty and heavy rums - while the TDL was pretty smooth nevertheless.
Flensburg EMB 1995, the V&M 1995, the Depaz 2010, Bellamys KFM and some more might have scored very high if I tasted them for the app.
