The main difference is that The Last is a blend of casks from the famous HTR (Heavy Trinidad Rum)-marque exclusively while Tasting Gang is a blend of HTR and LTR (Light Trinidad Rum). If you try them side by side you‘ll notice that The Last is more expressive on the typical Caroni-notes while the Tasting Gang has more nuances you‘ll also find in molasses rums aged in oak barrels - in the case of LTR rums this typically results in a bit sweeter profile with vanilla, toffee and fresh oak with little to no influence of the HTR notes that often-times are described as dirty due to associations with tar, fuel or rubber/bicycle tube.
