Every day, at 21:00, we will release the name of the rum of the respective day. Discussions can resume following the release of the rum names. The following day, discussions may start for the new sampleâŠcontinuing through to 28 April.

Moin Moin. Ich hab dann gleich nach dem FrĂŒhstĂŒck schon Mal Klebstoff und Ester erschnĂŒffelt. Es hat mich nicht erschlagen aber war eine schöne Portion. Etwas
Ananas kam durch und am Gaumen Marzipan und Joghurt, passenderweise war es dann leicht sÀuerlich.
Leckerer Auftakt.
Nase relativ sanft und rund, leicht rauchig, Fass, Ananas, Banane, Mango, Erdbeeren, fleischig, röstig, Klebstoff und sicher Esterđ€Ł
Mund ebenfalls relativ sanft aber auch komplex. Könnte gut sein, dass der erste Rum bereits eine RaritÀt ist. Cremig, leichte KrÀuter, vergorene Erdbeere, leicht bitter.
Abgang relativ trocken ĂŒber die Zeit. Habe hier tropischen FrĂŒchte, weiterhin Erbeere, Ananas, Bitterkeit, Holznoten.
Ich gehe wegen dem sanften und trockenen im Abgang mal auf folgenden Tipp: kontinental gereifter Hampden, um die 60%, Alterung 20+ Jahre. Estergehalt im Mittelfeld, evtl HLCF
Hmm, sehr lecker! Ich habe Ananas, Mango, Butter und eine schöne WĂŒrzigkeit.
Ich tippe auf einen Hampden mit einem Mark kleiner 400g Ester pro hl.
mit mind. 10 Jahren Reifung und ca. 55% Alkohol.
Tolle erste Probe!
Edit: gerade nochmal probiert und ich lehne mich mal weit aus dem Fenster und tippe auf Hampden Great House 2020
Hmm⊠Also wuerd sagen, knapp 60 %, tropisch gereift mind. 10 Jahre, weder Hampden, noch WP⊠Möglicherweise einer der letzten hollĂ€ndischen Long Pondsđ€
N: minerals, flowery, pineapple (grilled?), papaya, citrusy on the background. Leather, possibly? The profile, on the nose, reminds me of HampdenâŠ
P: funky, citrus peel, pineapple. Minerals and wood on the background. The ABV is decently high, Iâd guess on the 55ish or slightly above.
F: bitter, slightly woody, minerals, lemon pith
Guess: Iâll go with the obvious choice: Hampden, possibly HLCF or even HGML (although it doesnât appear to be that astringent), maybe 5-7 years old.
