Implementation of Rum Auctioneer 🔨

Our personal highlights from the current auctions:

:tumbler_glass: Cadenhead’s Uitvlugt PM 1964 36yr 70% – According to Nicolas Kröger, simply the best rum in the world. A 1964 Port Mourant distillate from the legendary Uitvlugt distillery in Guyana: incredibly complex with tobacco, nuts, violets, dark chocolate, and a plum finish that just won’t end. Perfectly integrated 70% ABV. An absolute legend. (VIDEO @Nicolas_Kroeger)

:tumbler_glass: Velier Uitvlugt SP – ICBU 1988 17yr 52.9% – World-class Demerara with outstanding reviews. Described by the community as the clear king of the Velier Uitvlugts: tropical matured Savalle still rum with intense vanilla, caramel, coffee, and chocolate. Round, profound, and almost perfectly balanced. One of only 1,091 bottles from the legendary Velier-DDL collaboration.

:tumbler_glass: Valinch & Mallet New Yarmouth “The Spirit of Art” 1994 26yr 56.9% – A rare NY94 reference with 68 rave reviews and a 9.0/10 rating on RumX. Coconut-vanilla nose with tropical fruits over caramel, dark chocolate, and mocha. Despite its cask strength, it is velvety smooth and elegant – considered by many to be the best New Yarmouth ever. Only 310 bottles, matured for 26 years in the tropics.

:tumbler_glass: Velier Caroni 39th Release “The Last” 1996 23yr 61.9% – My personal Caroni reference. The crowning glory of Luca Gargano’s legendary Caroni series: tar, rubber, wood, and leather meet mango, caramel, and mint. 202 community reviews, 5,274 bottles, a blend of 24 barrels – matured in Trinidad and Guyana. A masterpiece with a seemingly endless finish.

:tumbler_glass: Rum Nation Hampden Small Batch Rare Rums HLCF 1992 24yr 61.6% – A magnificent 1992 Hampden with the typical funky tropical fruit profile: pineapple, banana, and creamy esters, carried by a ripe wood spice. The 61.6% cask strength rewards patience – let it rest for a while or add a few drops of water, and the rum unfolds its full complexity. The highest-rated Rum Nation ever (9.0/10).

:tumbler_glass: Velier Damoiseau Full Proof 1980 18yr 60.3% – The legendary Guadeloupe rum with which Luca Gargano heralded the full proof era. An anthological profile: prunes, coffee, leather, dark chocolate, and exotic spices blend into an incredibly elegant experience. Rated 9.2/10 by the community and named by many as their personal top 3 rum. A true piece of rum history.

:tumbler_glass: Velier Hampden Warren Khong <>H 2010 7yr 62% – Legendary Hampden from Warren Khong’s Artist Series. An ester bomb in the best sense of the word: explosive pineapple and tropical fruits, classic Hampden funk with glue and varnish, plus vanilla pastry notes and a long, dry finish. Over 100 rave reviews. Considered by many to be one of the best young <>H Hampdens ever. 1,659 bottles.

:tumbler_glass: Velier Foursquare Destino “Richard Seale” 2003 14yr 61% – The legendary Drop by Drop Destino. Richard Seale personally chose the name to honor his encounter with Luca Gargano. Two rums aged for 12 years in ex-Madeira casks, then combined for another two years in very old ex-rum casks. Coconut, vanilla, and honey on the nose, dark chocolate, nougat, and oak on the palate – powerful yet incredibly round. A true collector’s item with only 2,610 bottles.

Feel free to take a look at the new auction overview and give us your feedback – we are continuously expanding its functionality. Have fun browsing and bidding!

Best regards and have a great start to the week,
Oliver
