How to contribute your list
We’d love to feature your personal top lists in the app. Here’s how you can share yours in this thread:
Choose a topic – Examples:
My absolute favorite rums
The best rums for a Mai Tai

List the RX-IDs of the rums you want to feature.
Provide a short description (1-2 sentences) for each rum:
Why do you appreciate it?
What makes it special for you?
We look forward to seeing your favorite rums, unique topics, and creative ideas. Let’s build a treasure trove of discovery together!
CDI tricorne - the only rum blend that includes Batavia arrack, molasses rum and Agricole in perfection. Best ratio : 7 rum, 3 lime, 2 gomme syrup
Nusa cana white : molasses and Batavia arrack for a low budget
Plantation pineapple: awesome pineapple Daiquiris
plantation three stars: round, affordable and tasty
By the Dutch white Batavia arrack 48% : 100% pure Batavia arrack, makes a mean arrackiri (including mezcal)
fine drams new Yarmouth white 69% - imho the most awesome white overproof Jamaica Rum for atomic daiquiris
Paranubes cana morada - extremely interesting profile reminding of smoke, red fermented fruit and pineapple. Reminding a bit of mezcal too.
Clairin sajous. Amazing Mango and Olive brine notes. Super delicious and yet different.
velier savanna white 62,5% - you want to taste white gummy bears (the pineapple ones) in a daiquiri? Here you go
rivers Antoine grenada 69% awesome rich and funky fruity and smoky. Very unique flavor profile!
Best rums for mojito:
Nusa cana white - to me the best round flavor profile that doesn’t overpower what a mojito should be, but still adding nice complexity and fruity notes
Eminente ambar claro - a nice Cuban twist for this classic
CDI tricorne - try chocolate mint super nice as a twist
aluna coconut. Works awesome - trust me!
Best rhums for ti punch:
Dillon Canne rouge 50% - awesome variety with red cane and nice notes of licorice and ripe pear and berries
baie des tresors Plain Soleil 54% : awesome notes of lots of citrus including kumquat, lemon, lime & mandarin. To me the most sippable ti punch on a very fair price point
Saint James brut de colonne bio 74,2% try it with sirop de Batterie. It’s crazy complex and powerful.
Best rums for Mai tai:
Rum artesanal Burke’s seamaster 50% awesome blend of Barbados and Jamaica new Yarmouth. Works in many drinks like royal Bermuda yacht club too. Fair price for the quality.
Hampden overproof 8y 60% old version. Amazing pure Hampden profile, enough wood, fruityness and funk!
fine drams 1994 new Yarmouth. Rich, deep flavours of mint, coconuts, orange peel and ripe bananas and enough woodyness. Everything in here screams for a Mai tai. In general nearly all 94 Vintages of new Yarmouth work beautiful since they’re pretty much overproof single cask Appleton’s which is pretty much the origin rum ever used for Mai tais.
2005 new Yarmouth by Compagnie des indes. Cookie dough and ripe pineapples. The ones from SBS and cave guildive work just as well. Amazing Mai tais just lacking of wood a bit.
2009 new Yarmouth by CDI or Rum artesanal. Rum artesanal was the best “budget” high Ester rum ever and CDI just topped this with additional years in the cask…
Velier monymusk 2010 EMB : funky, rich, fruity and lots of menthol and rubber. Works awesome.
Velier long pond MBS 2010 and 2007 tech. Either low ester or super high ester. Both make remarkable Mai tais!

El Dorado diamond cbh
El dorado 1996 enmore
