Are YOU sure you’re ready for that? All of us know that my bank account needs to recover first
You didn’t have to buy EVERY limited release and ALL that swag. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been there myself and also brought home a lot of bottles, but you topped me by quite a bit.
But to clarify: the cost of the trip is not the reason your accounts are in shock. You bought ALOT of extras.
No Decades bottle, no Hearts 1998, no …
I didn’t even buy the “fancy glass” at Hampden
But I agree: it was pretty much on the limit (not over because it worked!)
Once in a lifetime was my mantra going in.
ZERO REGRETS. ZE-RO!
Thanks Robert
Decades and Hearts '98 are “next level” rum bottles. The 1998 Hearts, as I told you, was the main marque in the Joy Anniversary Blend, and worth every penny. The Decades bottle is a a generational rum because of what it represents.
This is us right now, with the rest of the forum stuck in the middle

Hi all,
This year’s trip was a blast, we’re adding one more night for 2026. Here is the itinerary:
3 nights in Kingston
4 nights on the north shore close to Long Pond and Hampden
3 nights in Black River
1 last night in Kingston
Accommodation is based on double occupancy in Kingston (single rooms can be arranged for a supplement), and private rooms elsewhere. The dates for the trip are 13/2 - 24/2 12 days/11 nights.
I am estimating 3650 Euro per person (this year’s rate adjusted for inflation plus the extra night). This includes all transportation. accommodation, distillery trips, excursions, plus breakfast and dinners (7/7) outside of Kingston. Amazingly tasty, genuine Jamaican food like Jerked Chicken & Pork, Ackee & Saltfish, Curried Goat, Shrimp, Lobster, Snapper, Bammy, Plantains, Rice & Peas, etc cooked by two of my favorite ladies. 3 dinners in Kingston and lunches are paid for individually. Vegetarian options are available.
This price does not include tips. Tips and individual meals should total around 600 Euro. Airfare is not included in this price.
The excursions include:
The Bob Marley Museum (his home and recording studio on Hope Road) Kingston
The Creighton Coffee Estate (Blue Mountains) in St. Andrew Parish
Downtown Kingston Water Lane Art District
Trench Town Government Yard (where Bob Marley wrote “No Woman No Cry”) in Kingston
Hellshire Beach in St. Catherine’s Parish
A Rastafarian farm in Trelawny Parish
Vale Royal Great House ruins in Trelawny Parish
Dunns River Falls in St. Ann’s Parish
YS Falls in St. Elizabeth Parish
Black River boat tour in St. Elizabeth Parish
Floyd’s Pelican Bar - a bar 1km out to sea in St. Elizabeth Parish
All 5 distilleries have confirmed our group for next year.
As previously mentioned, we require a 50% deposit in order to lock properties in place as early as possible. References and testimonials are available upon request.
If you are truly interested, please send me an email (robertpolo@gmail.com) so I can start building out the list of travelers. It will be a great time. Just ask anyone who has gone with me.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Robert
My apologies for any repeat posts here in the forum. I’m not as savvy in forums as I could be (old Boomer) so hit me up with an email. We’re building the trip and travelers ASAP. Thanks so much, looking forward to hearing from interested parties. All the best…
Respect,
Robert
BTW: I hope to have my photo journal of this year’s trip ready by the beginning of next week. I’ll be sure to post a link to my Facebook here once it’s ready.
