Hi all,

I have the opportunity to order Bedford Park Spirits bottles, and there was some interest from other RumX members too. To get a quote on the costs of ordering from them in the UK, they need to know my desired order.

They offer rum and whisky, you can see the available bottles here:

Please let me know which bottles you would like! None of this is a purchase order yet, just a gauging of costs.

May I ask if it is the North Point or Bedford Park rums that you and your friends are interested in? (or both?)

I can tell you in terms of shipping costs, the volumetric weight is the ultimate factor for cost and they begin at £18.87 for 0.5kg, with a case of 6 bottles costing around £35. Additional charges will likely be less than £10 unless you’re wanting to insure the shipment; this would be at a cost of £12 or 1.50% of the shipment value if higher.

Customs fees would then be applicable at the time the bottles reach the Netherlands.

Sorry this took a while. After some back and forth with the people across the pond and some research, it seems the duty and import fees would add up to roughly 50% the listed price on the website. So any bottle you see times 1.5… For me, that is a bit much and therefore I myself am out

I did ask them about plans for a European distributor. They recently expanded to Canada. Let’s see if that is something we can do in the future. But for now we can close this thread.
