To differentiate ourselves from private (and lucrative) sales platforms that only offer bottles, we’ve decided to opt for 20cl and 10cl bottles. For us, it’s an opportunity to try and soften the speculative bubble by offering large samples that won’t be sealed (other than with a cork, of course) and are primarily intended for tasting. Of course, we don’t shy away from auctioning whole bottles at specific sales, with the idea of using speculation to good effect this time, and for a good cause.

Will all my money go to the associations?

The bottles and labels are self-financed, as is the hosting of our website; with a view to covering some of these costs, we have set up an online store where we will be selling various items (t-shirts, etc.).

stell dir mal vor der wäre in einer Holzbox… das wäre glatt das doppelte
Puh, da fragt man sich als Neisson Fan echt ob da überhaupt nochmal was spannendes zu nem bezahlbaren Preis kommt

Vielleicht ein 4. Batch XO, Sascha, sonst höchstwahrscheinlich nichts, was man wirklich gebrauchen und bezahlen kann.
Selbst die bisherigen Single Cask Vieux (straight from the Barrel) fand ich durch die Bank enttäuschend. Gott sei Dank hatte ich nur Samples geordert …
Ich glaube diese Frage ist ganz einfach mit Nein zu beantworten.
Entweder junge Sachen die nicht aufregend und dafür zu teuer sind. Der kürzlich erschienene Vieux Bio Batch 2 war eine ziemliche Enttäuschung, um 185€ kriegt man viel Besseres.
Oder länger gelagerte Sachen, die man dann eh nicht mehr öffnet. Da gehört auch dieser dazu.
Ist dann wie bei Caroni, man kauft die noch verfügbaren älteren Abfüllungen (Velier 2005 etc.).
Im Gegensatz zu Caroni sehe ich bei Neisson allerdings null Wertanlagepotential. Das ist wie (zB) bei den derzeitigen Hampden-Abfüllungen der IB - gibt genug davon & in zehn Jahren sind nur noch die absoluten Ausnahmeabfüllungen (vielleicht der ein oder andere 90er…) von Bedeutung. Wobei auch die mittelmäßigen Caroni m.E. nicht marschieren werden. Dafür ist der Nachfragemarkt dann einfach doch zu klein… Daher besser aufmachen & genießen, gell, Roberto!

Genauso ist es. Liegt alleine am Engpass.
Allerdings muss ich das Prinzip “Verfügbarkeit ungleich Wertsteigerungspotential” vielleicht etwas einschränken:
Würde z.B. DDL zukünftig wieder alte tropische Abfüllungen auf dem Niveau der Velier-Abfüllungen herausbringen (mit einem besseren Marketing als bei den m.E. mitunter sehr guten Rare Cask-Abfüllungen), ich weiß nicht, ob das wirklich Einfluss auf das Preisniveau der alten Abfüllungen von Luca hätte. Ich glaube, “Demerara” & Velier ist trotz grundsätzlich gegenwärtiger Verfügbarkeit der Stile (wenn allerdings mitunter von zB der Savalle-Still nur nachgeahmt) ein anderes Phänomen mit eben Legendenstatus. Abfüllungen “der ersten Stunden” mit einem so glorreichen Ruf gibt’s halt nur sehr wenige…
Und deswegen auch mein Hinweis auf (zB) Hampden (hätte alternativ zB auch Savanna nennen können) und die derzeitige Marktflutung. Ich persönlich sehe da null Sinn drin, davon was für andere Zwecke als für den eigenen Genuss in den Keller zu stellen…
