And when you are hungry, grab a Shawarma at Habibi nearby :yum:

As it was mentioned already Rum Depot should be the first stop for Rum

There is also Berlin Bottle in Charlottenburg (very close to S-Bahn Station Halensee). They have very good prices usually and a lot of spirits (incl. some Rum). You need to check prices online though as they have no prices in the shop (because of daily updates to the price).

If you are adventurous you can try out Big Market. It is an old-school Whisky place. More focused on Whisky naturally but they have a decent selection of Rums too. It is a bit outside but the bus stops right at the door
There are other Whisky shops with some Rums but nothing like Rum Depot.

In terms of Bars my number one is Velvet in Neukölln. There is also Becketts Kopf In Prenzlauer Berg and Bar am Steinplatz in Charlottenburg. However there are tons of good Bars in Berlin. I just don’t know any Tiki Bar if that’s your preference.

In terms of eating I don’t suggest anything. There is simply too much in the whole Berlin area and it depends on your taste.

Definitely the Rum Depot, and afterwards to a good good cocktail bar in the surrounding area, such as https://salut-berlin.de/ or https://fabelei.com/.

Enjoy Your trip.

When are you coming to Berlin? In which part of town will you stay? How long will you be around?
Are you interested in Rum only or other spirits as well? Fancy a cigar?

Let me know so that I can think of one or two things for you.

(Many good tips in this thread already.)

Great, so here we go:

Rum Depot has already been mentioned numerous times. It’s a great store for Rum with kind and knowledgeable people. They have about 200 open bottles to try from (and buy). Strongly recommended.
Rum Depot is located in a nice neighborhood called Akazienkiez. You might want to stroll around the area a bit and soak in the atmosphere. Then head down Goltzstraße towards Nollendorfplatz (or arrive the other way round). From Nollendorfplatz, it’s a short walk to the famous KaDeWe and Ku’damm.
I don’t know your budget, so I won’t recommend any spots for food or dinner.
Cocktail bars in the area were already mentioned, I just want to add Green Door.

As you mentioned Agave, I want to draw your attention to this bar:

Big Market isn’t really worth the long way down there. They have quite a few rums but mainly standard range.

Cocktails (to name a few places besides those already mentioned):

https://victoriabar.de/welcome
https://schwarzetraube.eatbu.com/?lang=de
https://www.buckandbreck.com/

The pros recommend:

and the legendary

He’s doing his very own thing - love it or hate it. For me it was love at first sight. If you want to go there you should arrive early as he only has about ten seats in there (a few more outside during summer time).

Buck & Breck (again) and Kink checked off so far. Buck & Breck is still so so good, maybe even better than 1.5 years ago

Rum for breakfast, why not! :joy:. Love that you see some of these while taking a stroll without an agenda in the morning. Missus was not amused I interrupted her coffee run, but totally worth it.
