Got 2 times in a week at Rum Stylez shop in Belgium, and it was so cool that I made a full article presenting David and his haul in a blog article : Rum Stylez – Dans l’antre du rhum, à Courtrai - The Jack Drop
It’s in French but I think you can easily translate.
For me, the best things to know is :
David Dobbelaere, a fervent advocate of the finest sugarcane juices. Passionate about travel, good things, and cigars. A true rum enthusiast, and especially… agricultural rum! David Dobbelaere has over 25 years of passion for the finest sugarcane eaux-de-vie. In 2018, in addition to his main job, he began selling rum on his website, then in a makeshift shop in his own home! In 2024, he realized his lifelong dream: opening a dedicated rum shop, to share his passion, his advice, and his infectious good humor.
But David doesn’t work alone. His wife comes to help him run the shop regularly. The hours are quite limited, as a sideline requires, but the couple helps each other out; it’s not uncommon to see one or the other riding by on a bicycle with a case of rum in hand to bring a customer a precious bottle that might be missing from the shelves.
For your information, only a third of the available products are available in the shop; don’t hesitate to ask.
