Jetzt endlich auch Mal Mai Tai. 4cl nobilis Clarendon 2004und 2cl burkes Elements water (Hampden) nur orgeat kein Zuckersirup. Lecker

I’m still testing it. But at the start the alcohol is quite overwhelming due to the shape so it seems. I’m still figuring out which rums work better with it.
But you can swirl very well with it to help the alcohol evaporate better. A couple of blows in the glass tend to help too.

I experienced that 1 cl or so is already enough to grasp the full picture! When there are 2cl (or more) in it, it is almost counterproductive…I also particularly like the small opening where I have the impression that the aromas arrive on the nose rather concentrated. This also holds true for ABV, with higher ABV coming along rather strong, initially. But the simple solution is to just let the rum rest for a little bit longer…

Schlimm wäre das falsche Wort… mir gefällt diese Rauchnote nicht die er hat das macht ihn für mich persönlich nicht oder kaum Pur trinkbar

Try to adjust the distance of your nose and the glas. Also try to hold the glass at an angle, wait a few seconds and then try to sniff at the upper edge and then at the lower edge.
This way you might perceive and distinguish lighter and heavier vapours.
The 1920s Blenders glass is suited perfectly for that tecnique.

An interesting comparison, they are quite similar in some ways but i seem to enjoy the 2011 slightly more, in particular the mouthfeel.

Du solltest nicht nur mal den Vergleich der Gläser einstellen, dass du wirklich wissenschaftlich gemacht hast, sondern auch einmal eine Anleitung erstellen, wie man welches Glas hält (Winkel, Handhaltung, etc) und wie man daran schnuppert und wie man aus welchen am besten trinkt 
Ich glaube echt ernsthaft, dass das bei mir als CubaLibre Typ noch verbesserungswürdig ist.
