I think including some standard (and cheaper rums) is useful as those are the ones you can still buy easily and are something for newcomers to look for. But I am missing the Chairman’s Legacy from the list, bought one this year and realized again how much I love this relatively cheap rum.
For enthusiasts something like “standard release of the year” might be more useful though as most of us have probably had Hampden 8, Zacapa 23 etc. already but ratings of newer standard-range bottlings might be more insightful. I am thinking about Black Tot Solera, Planteray Mister Fogg, Rum Club Triangulation etc.
