Another review:
Unusual ABV for its age and relatively long wood aging for PC.
I’m not fully convinced to pull the trigger - it would be easier if it was GC and ABV below 50%.

Ich hab ihn mir auch geholt. Klang dann doch zu verlockend ![]()
Hat sich eigentlich einer den gesichert?
@machlo , all you wanted, GC and ABV below 50% ![]()
I forgot to mention half the price. ![]()
Delamain and Petite Champagne cru — that’s a very interesting combination. This house was exclusively in Grande Champagne, so I was quite surprised to hear that their first independent bottling came from PC.
The price is high indeed.
New amateur spirits selection - cognac this time.
This looks like a first official collaboration between Delamain and one independent bottler. I was looking for some Samaroli releases and discovered this 1983 GC by accident. The label is original Delamain’s alembic label, but Samaroli’s name is on it. So it would be interesting to hear if this cask was handpicked by late Silvano himself in 2010.
Edit: it looks like there are some more Delamain vintages bottled by other IBs like Averys, Berry Bros & Rud, Mitchell & son etc. Samaroli wasn’t the first and certainly not the last obviously ![]()
