Prices are becoming ridiculous at this point :
Apart from Papalin, the first Nine Leaves and Chalong Bay, the rest is at 100 minimum…
100 for the 1 year old peated whisky-like Hampden ?
600 the new Enmore from TCoR ?
240 for a Ron from Nicaragua ? I don’t even mention the Cuban release…
The most premium Nine Leaves is already at more than 200… you will see guys, in a couple of years when the whole stock will be gone, the last bottle (which I believe will be the 14 year old bottling) will reach 1000….
You’d better get rich or die trying at this point

Je mehr ich hier die News lese, desto mehr erinnert mich das an den initialen Grund vom Whisky zum Rum gekommen zu sein…

Das ist aber auch schon viele Sommer her, dass Rum eine preisliche Alternative zu Whisky war. Mittlerweile ist es teilweise schon wieder andersherum, wenn man sieht welche Qualitäten besonders die IBs für günstige Preise bieten.

From the Black Tot IG story: looks like they bring a special version of their regular tot along to Paris. My guess is that it is a sherried version, judging by the color of the label. Curious to find out what it is.

Once again, the Jamaican old releases by plantation (linked by @DevidedByZero in another post I think) are once again the ones that attract me most (the old Clarendon 2001). The old jamaicans of plantation are often excellent rums and thoses selected by LMDW always excellent. Like last year, the prices are quite ok, 230€ for 21years old (18 tropical).
(Clarendon 94MMW of plantation is certainly my favourite jamaican rum, really perfect to my palate)
