Upcoming rum releases

It’s 46% but have you tried it? It doesn’t always have to be at Cask Strenght to be a wonderfull product. Wait untill it has arrived, it’s a wonderful introduction to Jamaica for beginning rum lovers who are not to familiar yet with the high ester rums we’re used to. @Tom will have a taste of it as soon as we have them in stock, I’m sure he’ll be delighted.

Hi and welcome to the community! Always nice to have retailers on board :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Indeed I have not. And I totally agree with your statements. But as you said yourself, for “beginning rum lovers” (again, not saying exclusively, pros might also find it interesting) and therefore I don’t find myself amoung the target group. Would I drink it when offered? Absolutely! And I’m sure I would enjoy it a lot. But would I buy a whole bottle? Unlikely. I’d rather pick something with higher strength - especially given the tight situation in my wallet and my cupboard

Hello @DevidedByZero, thank you for welcoming me and your reaction as well. I agree with your statement as well concerning the Hampden PX. And since you welcome me as a retailer :stuck_out_tongue: I would like to suggest for are more experience rum lover, the French Antilles 2009 aged on Virgin Oak. Sorry but I remain a retailer so can’t except no for an answer at the end
FYI : Coming from Galion it’s a long fermented molasses rum so it has the necessary esters and the aging on a heavily charred virgin oak barrel adds a firm smoky depth to it. When I opened up the sample it was first like candy in my nose then the smokiness came and it kept changing every few minutes in the nose and the taste… Sorry but I think I fell in love with this expression :man_shrugging:

I spotted this picture at RomDeLuxe website:

The labeling of the middle and the right rum is clearly fake. As we know they are from Ten Cane and Bellevue. But from where might the rum in the left cardbox originate from? Not from Barbados - for sure!?

Looks like the Hearts Collection is getting two vintages added soon. They were already spoilered on the velier webpage. (Screenshot courtesy of a friend)

Any more infos on this bottling?

I’m curious about this one too

If I hadn’t gone over my rum budget so much in recent weeks, I would happily take the bottle. Maybe in a few weeks if it’s still available.

And this one should be a Versailles or a Port mourant

The 1998 Column Still Batch hasn’t had one good rum yet and they’ve been much cheaper before. I’d save my money for other bottlings.

The 2007 Hampden’s had been rare and are all over the place now. The kill devi s had been very good nevertheless and the price seems to be ok - at least rransted into german prices

Edit: but as @Rodolphe wrote it’s probably not a Hampden but a WP.

The 2004 is a colored Versailles (MDXC as it was called by some bottlers). The best of this batch are good. The worst are mediocre.

:astonished:

Are we sure that’s a hampden? Pot still could be worthy park too or maybe another ?? i’m not specialist enough.

You’re absolutely right! This is probably not a hampden. Just looked at my label. The label says hampden and the month is 11/07.

So we don’t know what we’ve got here. But Monymusk/Clarendon usually allows their name on the labels and WP doesn’t. So I believe you’re right and its not a Hampden.
