Nose: When the bottle opened I thought it was an aged Rocher because of a cheese smell. Ten seconds later that smell transformed into a yoghurt smell distinctive for Hampden. I got the same experience with the 2007 C<>H. Pineapple, pastry, glazing. Very sweet and attractive smell.
Taste: Little tingle on the tongue. More of the same tastes as on the nose. In the background banana and licorice. Cinnamon and aceton.
Finish: Long and tasty. Pastry and licorice.
Conclusion: Yeah, what can go wrong with Hampden. I love it! I don’t care about the rest of this calendar. I need more of this!
I think a 2007 C <> H but which? I did not have the latest Flensburg release and that would be a choice too obvious so I am gonna go with the Duchess Great House 66,1 RX10861. The 66,9 version was more intense in my memory.
