time is passing by quickly and today, we can finally open the Advent calendar!
As mentioned in our letter, the calendar is accompanied by a ‚quiz’. You can provide your guesses and impressions below and share your views. Every day, at 21:00, we will release the name of the rum of the respective day … continuing through to 25 December.

On second sniff and after a small sip the notes tend more towards a Port Mourant with slight wood and nice fruits. Powerful but well integrated alcohol. Very yummy!
Nur kurz am Sample gerochen, aber kommt mir bekannt vor.
Fruchtig, nussig, Holz/Fass.
Hoffe schaffe es bis 21uhr vom Elternabend heim um näher analysieren zu können.
Foursquare evtl?
In der Nase zuerst die Assoziation mit Foursquare bzw. Barbados, dann kommen aber etwas dunkle Früchte durch. Guyana/PM oder doch vielleicht ein gereifter Agricole?
Am Gaumen dann aber für mich ganz klar kein Barbados oder Agricole, sondern Richtung Guyana. Geschmacksprofil kommt mir auch bekannt vor, und da ich neben Port Mourant noch kaum andere Rum aus der Ecke probiert habe, würde ich mich da anschließen und auch auf einen älteren Port Mourant mit weniger als 60% tippen.
Nose: Initially banana and apple. That pointed me towards Worthy Park 12, of which it reminded me. Then it became sweeter that points to Guyana. Very enjoyable nose. Candied fruits. After a while the nose becomes darker with wood spice.
Taste: Slight burn or pepper. Some more of that apple. Then a woody taste that reminds me of PM. Some wood spice. A tad bitter.
Finish: Lingers from apple into licorice. And later a whiff (only once) of a rich sweet meat sauce. Drying.
I estimate this to be around 60%. The alcohol not very well integrated. It is relatively complex but with some flaws. Tasty stuff though. Could it be one of the PM’s of the Rare Collection?
Definitiv kein Foursquare, kommt was Kräutriges daher. Vermute dass ich den erst letztens beim Franconian Tasting im Glas hatte, zumindest die Richtung geht eher. Hab so Assoziationen mit Eldorado, die gleiche Farbe wie der Enmore 1996 hätte er ja
RX2072 vielleicht?
Ich war zunächst bei einem (very) Low Ester Jamaikaner, dann aber doch aufgrund der würzigeren Noten recht schnell bei Guyana, denke ein PM.
Die Nase lässt auch ein paar Caroni Assoziationen aufkommen.
Mir fällt grade auf, dass dies erst mein zweiter blind verköstigter Rum ist

Nase sehr holzig aber geil. Viellicht ein ganz alter Jamaikaner. Gaumen dann alle verschiedene Beeren die es gibt. Eher Richtung Guyana oder krasser Agricole. Vermutlich irgendetwas im Cherry Fass gereift?
At first whiffs I thought it might be one of those FS with vegetable notes. It needs some time in the glass and reveals typical Guyanese wood notes. Not sure which mark. Well aged, but probably not past 20 years.
Hat für mich etwas von einem gereiften agricole. Sehr kräftig mit Würze, Eichenholz, Tabak. Etwas erdiges, dennoch frisch. Im Bouquet ausdrucksstark fruchtig.
Ich tippe au einen der Les Ephemeres Serie von Saint James. 5, 6 oder 7
