Cigar Pairing recommendations

Raconteur (I don’t get the hype) and a Cuban custom roll, a Felipe Prominentes (Double Corona, 49x194).

I think the hype has been disenchanted for a while now… enjoy anyways :tumbler_glass::+1:

Yeah, you guys are too cool for the hype, we get it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Fact is, it’s in the Top 5 of all (semi-)official Foursquare bottlings. I think it’s ok to be excited about it, especially when most of the stuff that’s coming out these days seems to be “miles away from the nectar of gods that we had in the old days of yore”.

I get your point and I agree that most of the new stuff is meh or just OK. I had the new Beenleigh the other day and it was rather bad. But I do not include the Raconteur in the top 5 Foursqaure list, it’s not bad but it isn’t great neither.

Yes, but it’s also okay to find it average, especially considering the expectations the price raises.

I think this should be but on display above every Whisky, Rum, Cognac or Armagnac shelf

2017 Royal Robusto, Upmann factory. Very nice as these are ready after just a few years. Better than the rum

On the other side a simple Zino and a HSE Grande Reserve - nothing special but nice combination though. Aromes of leather and wooden agricole features are supporting each other

I’m very impressed how you manage to store cigars for so long without them becoming unsmokable. I’ve never been able to store cigars longer than about one and a half years. You probably have a pretty professional humidor, right?

I have a large cabinet for the stuff that I’m smoking and two coolidors (120 liter iceboxes transformed into a humidor) for the boxes that I’m aging. On top of that there’s a desktop humidor that holds the unicorns. One has to watch and regulate the humidity but this set-up has worked perfectly for me except when it’s really hot, then humidity raises a little too high for my taste.
