I think that some people would like a free ticket to trade fairs like the GRF or GAF. Or possibly vouchers or discounts from partner shops, if they are willing to provide something like that, this could then be stored in the account and pushes in-app purchases a little. possibly a win win situation

Great idea! We’ve already thought of a few ideas for seasonal rewards, such as free tickets to trade fairs or access to exclusive warm-up parties. 
So it’s worth checking the rewards overview regularly and keeping an eye out for limited bonuses.

Bei mir sind die Punkte auch extrem explodiert, kann glaube ich definitiv nicht stimmen. Habe @Oliver schon gestern Abend eine mail geschrieben.

Great idea: nice to have.
Just a personal note : 4 points for 300 reviews because I have the taste and photos but only 2-3 lines of text… do we really have to make 200 char with the same infos…? Not really useful I think. 50 char is enough if you have tasting notes.

Thanks for pointing this out. There was indeed a bug in the points calculation. Last night I worked directly on your feedback regarding multiple points for multi-bottle splits. It is now possible to specify the number of bottles in the topic title as a postfix (in the form “(x bottles”)). There was an error in the extraction of the number which I have just fixed (restart needed). Late night Sunday programming sessions are probably not the best idea…

Thanks for your input! We really took our time to balance the criteria for earning points. We wanted something more than just focusing on marketplace sales, something that truly adds value to our RumX community. That’s why we chose detailed reviews and bottle splits as key activities.
When it came to reviews, it was a challenge to define criteria that were valuable to readers, easy to understand and robust against spam. That’s why we introduced the mandatory tasting photo, for example, to make abuse more difficult. The minimum length of 200 characters was based on a user survey, which showed that readers appreciate detailed, written tasting impressions in particular when they want to find out more about a rum.
Good news is, you can definitely go back and add more to your older tastings. We recalculate points weekly, considering all publicly shared tastings. This way, your efforts won’t go unnoticed!
