Wow :star_struck:
May I ask, where did you find the 5 Sentidos? Didn’t know they were available in Europe…

Some praise for this budget Mezal mixer. Incredibly cool project by Amaras Mezcal. If anybody needs Mezcal for cocktails, i highly recommend this one.

Available at, i.e., Spirit Academy: https://www.spiritacademy.it/en/mezcal/amaras-verde-6350.html?search_query=Verde&results=20

Edit: Each label is different, collect them all

Thanks for the tip! Same price range as my current mixing favourite (Montelobos Espadin), so I might check it out. BarrelBrothers and Tequila Kontor seem to stock Amaras in Germany.

That montelobos is €55+ in the Netherlands. I guess you can call that the same price range, but also 1.5x the price.

I use the following recipe:
3cl Jamaican Rum (e.g RA Elements Water)
3cl Mezcal (Del Maguey Vida)
2.2cl Lime juice
1.5cl Orgeat
1cl Simple Sirup (usually I use my home made one with molasses to complement the lack of spices from the lightly aged RA Elements Water)
0.75cl Ferrand Curacao
Mint and Lime leftovers for decoration (maraschino cherry optional)

Thank you! Will try.

Todays tasting,
5 Centidos with Ensamble & Arroqueño.
Both with quite mineral and peppery notes,
Ensamble got some ester notes, and more vegetables/Jalapeno feeling
While Arroqueno is dryer, more smoky & BBQ.

Cheers !
